Born in the Bronx, New York, DJ Angel S. has been spinnin’ for over 30 years. Angel S. jumped onto the turntables at the age of 15 where he could finally fulfill the passion he had for deejaying. He started out by learning from older DJs in his neighborhood that showed him the basics of DJing such as counting BPM, beatmatching, learning the mixer controls, and organizing his record crates. Taking every opportunity and advice to learn from the veteran DJs around him, Angel S. started doing house parties and Sweet 16s for all his neighborhood and H.S. friends. Any money that Angel S. earned from these parties, he re-invested back into his equipment. Angel S. has always strived to have high end professional equipment. With his attention to detail, he strives to create distinctiveness within all his events. His goal is to perform every event to the best of his ability and to share his passion of music with the masses.

Experience doing multiple weddings, managing time line of receptions, events, debuts, Sweet 16’s and Quienceañera’s
Proven competency as Disc Jockey (minimum of 400 events)
Solid and varied knowledge of musical genres for clients 13 to 50 years old
Computer literate with disc jockey virtual DJ and video programs
Strong interpersonal skills for live events
Extensive experience with professional and charity events
Enthusiastic and positive can-do attitude
Self-motivated and self-managing, but comfortable working with a team
Experience performing Wedding Receptions, and multiple house parties
Can help plan events at your reception
Can work with your photographer
Can coordinate the time with the music during each activity

His music style covers the spectrum of these genres: Hip Hop, Dancehall, R&B, Top 40, Main Stream, Dance, House, EDM, Funk, Disco, 70’s, 80,’s, 90’s, Old School, Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Reggaeton and Bachata. Angel S has been collecting music since 1986. He has been a member of many urban and Latin record pools. He has a massive database at his disposal to keep the party going. In addition to performing at over 400 weddings and sweet 16’s, Angel S. has played in many Bronx clubs and bars over the years.

He is gifted with a unique ability to blend new flavors with familiar sounds, creating a vibe that’s addictive to audiences and solidifying his role as the music industry tastemaker and fan favorite. From homemade mixes that circulated throughout the neighborhood to DJing numerous house and block parties DJ Angel S.’s constant hustle and work ethic, as well as his undeniable skills, led him to guest appearances at local lounges and clubs. In 2013 Angel S. obtained residency at a local lounge in The Wicked Wolf in the Bronx.
